Job Description

Applied Teaching Assistant Professor in the S.I. Ward Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to (1) teach undergraduate courses in Applied Audio Technology, including Live Sound, Broadcast and Studio recording as well as Computer and Electronic Engineering Technology courses, and (2) assist undergraduate students in completing their senior projects for Audio Engineering Technology.

Required Qualifications

Essential are excellent teaching, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. The commitment and ability to recruit new students is crucial. Earned master’s degree in Audio Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline and minimum 5 years of professional experience in the Audio technology field is required. Computer network experience preferred.

College Information

The Samuel I. Ward Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 14 full-time faculty members, enrolls approximately 340 students, and offers ABET-EAC accredited programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, an ABET-ETAC accredited program in Electronic Engineering Technology, baccalaureate degrees in Audio Engineering Technology, Computer and Electronic Engineering Technology, and Electromechanical Engineering Technology, a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Science with specialization in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In addition the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) includes ABET-EAC accredited programs in Acoustical Engineering and Music, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, an ABET-ETAC accredited program in Architectural Engineering Technology, and a NAAB accredited Masters of Architecture. Within the College, there are 47 full-time faculty and 1100 students.
