Job Description

The Department of Mathematics of the University of Hartford is accepting applications for Two full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to begin in August 2018.


Normal teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Class sizes are relatively small. Candidates should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and to scholarly activity. Candidates should show a willingness and ability to employ technology in teaching. There will also be opportunities to teach in our innovative, University Interdisciplinary Studies (UIS) curriculum. Successful applicants will be expected to participate in departmental and school committees, advise students, and contribute to student recruitment and retention.

Required Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Data Science, Complex Analysis, Probability, Algebra, Number Theory and their applications, but candidates in all areas of the mathematical sciences will be considered. An earned doctorate in mathematics, applied mathematics or related areas is required; ABDs will be considered providing they document a degree completion date.
